Having already lived at Tonsley Hill House for many years our clients wanted to remain there for the long term future by creating additional space for their growing family through good quality design, materials and workmanship.
This complex project, built over an existing basement, involved replacing the existing two storey extension with a three storey extension plus loft conversion to provide the additional space required. Tonsley Hill House has been reconfigured and refurbished throughout using refined materials and finishes which are enhanced by the natural light that now fills the interior. The internal spaces are all stitched together with a beautiful new staircase and handrail that flows throughout the house. Externally, a clear palette of materials create a balanced elevation with stock brickwork, Crittall style doors, dark painted sash windows and dark zinc.
