Cavendish Road - Planning Permission
Planning permission has been received for our scheme on Cavendish Road, in the London Borough of Lambeth. The property is an early-Victorian terraced house, set within the La Retrait Conservation Area, and the proposal is to extend to the rear and side of the existing outrigger, essentially forming a wrap-around extension.
Early research identified a significant planning risk, with proposals for a wrap-around extension to the neighbouring property recently refused by the Local Authority. To provide the best chance of winning planning permission we took a design-led approach, as with all our projects, to ensure that the scale, massing and appearance of the extension was considered and of a high standard. Planning approval affirms our confidence that the proposed design will contribute positively to the local context, as well as to our client’s enjoyment of their home.
